Food Sovereignty as path to Regenerative Agriculture

In collaboration with the association Runa Pangaia in Ucayali, Peru, this project aims to promote regenerative agriculture methods as an alternative to ongoing deforestation in the region. Our goal is to demonstrate that regenerative practices can be not only environmentally beneficial but also financially attractive, while also gaining the support of local farmers.

At the heart of the project is the construction of three low-tech machines called “Grain Bikes,” which allow farmers to process their harvest without electricity, increasing food self-sufficiency and savings in the local market. Project steps include constructing, testing, and maintaining Grain Bikes, along with training local farmers and developing user manuals.
